Dr. Müller is a neurologist and researcher specializing in neuroimmunological disorders like multiple sclerosis and neuromyelitis optica spectrum disease. He earned his Medical Degree from the University of Basel in 2015, graduating among the top of his class, and completed his neurology residency at the University Hospital Basel, obtaining certifications in Electroencephalography and Neurovascular Ultrasound. He became board-certified in Neurology in 2023 and now serves as a Consultant Neurologist at the University Hospital Basel.
Alongside his clinical work, Dr. Müller pursued academic excellence, earning a Doctor of Medicine at the University of Basel and an MSc in Clinical Research at Dresden International University. He further refined his research skills through Harvard’s Clinical Research Program and a fellowship at the Clinical Outcome Research Unit, Royal Melbourne Hospital.
His research focuses on multiple sclerosis pathophysiology, disease progression, and digital biomarkers, leading the national multicenter dreaMS study. He has published in top journals like JAMA Neurology and Neurology, secured competitive grants, and presented at major conferences such as ECTRIMS, SNG, and AAN. Recognized with awards from the Swiss Federation of Clinical Neuro-Societies, he also serves on the EAN Scientific Panel for Multiple Sclerosis and the Swiss MS Society’s Advisory Board.
