The Research Center for Clinical Neuroimmunology and Neuroscience Basel (RC2NB) is based on a non-profit foundation. It was founded in 2019 by the University Hospital Basel with participation of the University of Basel to continue and enhance the long-standing commitment and internationally renowned, clinically oriented research for patients with multiple sclerosis and other neuroimmunological diseases.

As an academic-industry initiative, we are committed to advancing Neuroimmunology and Neuroscience, specifically focusing on understanding and treating Multiple Sclerosis and other neuroimmune diseases.

In collaboration with the MS Center at the University Hospital Basel, RC2NB provides an unparalleled, interdisciplinary approach to patient oriented research and care. We work closely with other local, national and international clinical departments and institutions, ensuring that our research and care benefit from the latest diagnostic advancements and specialized treatments.

The Research Center for Clinical Neuroimmunology and Neuroscience Basel (RC2NB) welcomes applications from fellows interested in short-term training (3–6 months) in multiple sclerosis research and clinical care. As a recognized MS centre of excellence, RC2NB together with the MS and Neuroimmunology Clinic of the University Hospital offers opportunities to gain experience in clinical research, advanced neuroimaging, biomarker development, and multidisciplinary patient care.
