MS State of the Art Symposium 2025

This past Saturday, January 25, the Research Center for Clinical Neuroimmunology and Neuroscience Basel (RC2NB) team participated in the MS State of the Art Symposium 2025, focused on "Lifestyle in Multiple Sclerosis: Sports, Nutrition, and Brain Health."

It was wonderful to see Cristina Granziera, co-president of the Medico-Scientific Advisory Board of the Swiss MS Society, and Jens Kuhle, a member of the Program Committee, representing Hashtag#RC2NB alongside other leading experts who contributed to making this event a success.

Our team shared some exciting research highlights:

- The MultiSCRIPT Trial: Perrine Janiaud presented personalized treatment approaches for individuals living with MS.

- Aberrant Complement Activation in MS Brain Damage: Johanna Oechtering Osetring showcased how complement pathways can help unravel the mysteries of brain health.

- The Role of B Cell Activating Factor in MS and B Cell Depletion: This poster offered a fascinating and hopeful exploration of immune therapies that target MS at its source @Tradite Neziraj , Elisabeth Pößnecker

The symposium, organized by Schweizerische Multiple Sklerose Gesellschaft, emphasized how lifestyle, science, and collaboration contribute to better outcomes for people with MS.

What stood out to you? Whether it was a key insight, an engaging discussion, or a personal takeaway, we’d love to hear your thoughts!
